It's live. The TREAD playtest is now open on Steam and I honestly can't believe I'm typing that.

changedTREAD is a top-down online tank game where positioning and builds matter as much as aim. You pick your hull and turret - both affect how your tank moves and fights - and take it into team matches where line-of-sight is everything. Enemies only appear when you can actually see them, so map control and awareness aren't just buzzwords here, they genuinely decide fights.

I've been building this game for a long time, longer than I'd like to admit, and getting to this point where real people can actually download it and play has been the goal the whole time. It's a huge personal milestone and I'm equal parts excited and terrified.

If you've been following development, thank you.

If you're discovering TREAD for the first time, welcome.

What you're jumping into:

TREAD is a top-down online tank game where positioning and builds matter as much as aim. You pick your hull and turret - both affect how your tank moves and fights - and take it into team matches where line-of-sight is everything. The playtest has Team Deathmatch and Capture the Points. Jump in, try both, see what clicks.

What I actually need from you:

Feedback. Honest feedback. If something feels broken, clunky, or just wrong - tell me. If something feels really good - tell me that too. Every bit of it goes directly into how I develop the game from here.

The best place to share it, hang out, and follow development is the Discord - come join us. This is the part where TREAD stops being a solo project in a room somewhere and starts becoming something built with a community, and I can't wait for that.

See you in there.

Mitch
