Treacherous Journeys changes
Hello Everyone!
This spring we announced our plans to let the world of Thile be defined more by original fantasy based on Nordic trollfolk and folktales, rather than it being a generic Tolkien/DnD world of goblins and orcs. We were already starting down that path with the new elven starting area and the trollfolk bestiary which we had started on, but it became clear to us that a more thorough rethink of the game would be needed.
Current resources don't allow doing the game justice, and as the idea for another, slightly smaller scoped, game materialized we decided to shift our focus to that for the time being. I want to make it clear that this is not a goodbye to Treacherous Journeys - a game near and dear to my heart - and that it is still part of the long term vision for Dire Prism.
But I'm afraid that it isn't the game we should be making right now. If you're disappointed to have to wait for a while longer to see progress on the game it's absolutely understandable. A huge thank you to everyone who has been following, wishlisting, playtesting and showcasing the game. And to everyone who has been a part of its development - artists who have delivered beautiful visuals, captivating voices and awesome music.
The new project? I'll keep this short because this article is about Treacherous Journeys, but the name is "Grimfog: Dead Hand Path". It's a Base-Building ARPG and you can see more here:
