Train Station Simulator changes
Great Day to Train Station Simulator, I know that some of you guys lost belief in this game but I am still here. However, I have not posted too much recently but it was not at all about abandoning the project but I had to work so much more on it to be finished.
Why did it take so long for this update?
So 0.9 update is coming to the BETA channel this weekend (4-5th May 2019). This is a very BETA update and you may face serious errors and bugs. The game have completely been re-coded due to some technical limitations and problems but this 5 months of re-building of the complete game has some great benefits. In the future, new features can be added so much easier and the game will be supported much-much longer. Stay tuned I will upload a new post when the final build will be out this weekend.
Is it coming really coming this weekend? (4-5th May 2019)
In short yes.
With bugs? Yes... some bugs will appear. First I upload the PC versions and after that I try to upload the MAC and the Linux version as well. This may take some more coding to work properly but it will come soon as well. The added new features are very long and the bugfix list as well so let me put here all the details:
1. Re-coding
The game has been re-coded entirely. It has been optimized highly but some bugs can appear in the beginning.
2. Custom Timetable menu
You can now create 4 custom timetables in ENDLESS and Sandbox mode. You can set each train's settings by clicking the icons.
3. Custom Train types and length
You can set the engine, the carriage, the length and type of the train.
4. 200% more passengers. Maximum is now 500 passengers at once.
5. Redesigned Build / Object / Facilites
6. Completely redesigned Empolyees Menu
7. Redesigned all in-game icon layouts
8. Redesigned transportation menu and new transportation names
9. New Transportation graphics
10. New flooring tiles and new road design
11. New pavement design and new grass design and new tree design
12. Buttons added for passenger mood and ticket type
13. Ticket Machines when kicked by vandals now show 'Out of Order'
14. New region namings
15. Huge speed and memory optimization
Try the double speed with 500 passengers. It should run very smooth now.
Upcoming features that was not fully ready for this update:
Train and station disasters and station evacuation - Ticket gates - New passengers - Five new train designs - Two new facilities - Train cleaner units, track maintenance service members - Train interiors Bugfixes and improvements:

- much smoother mouse zoom in and out
- much smoother mouse navigation

- kicked machines now show "out of order"
- floor crack generation has been disabled
- maintenance workers can fix kicked machines
- redesigned police officer AI
- menu click areas have been improved
(close, or set buttons) - transportation bus: now day and night graphics with door opened / closed - transportation trolley bus: changed to trams - door placement bug fixed - closable entrance doors fixed - speed switched new graphics - missing / non working achievement fixed - new day icons graphic - locker room graphics improved - train graphics code completely redesigned (this will allow adding new train graphics so much faster) - cleaning managers menu improved - zoom in and out icon added - analog and digital time indicator added - changing to 24hour time layout from 12 hour PM/AM - redesigned tutorial layout and icons Continued Edit: - arrival passengers only appear to platforms not onto grass - fixed - menu texts have been simplified: more icons less text More to be added but I did not make note about all changes so I might add to this list more. Thank you guys for all the support in the past and hopefully I can add more and more to Train Station Simulator.
