To help you navigate the new network, a route planning mode lets you preview rail and flight connections before committing. Japan rail network gets its final link with an Osaka–Fukuoka connection, completing the Shinkansen corridor. Also fixes some twisted road and rail graphics that had been bothering us.

This update brings realistic flight routing: flights are now limited to more-or-less real-world routes as of 2026, so not every city pair is connected directly. Summary:

  • Flight options are now restricted to real/realistic flight routes, meaning many cities do not have routes at all anymore. It used to be possible to take take a flight between any two cities.

  • New York City now uses JFK, not LGA as it’s airport
