MAJOR RELEASE UPDATE - Build 1.0.1.0.124.205

Hello everyone and a big thank you to our amazing community for the continued support, feedback, and passion you bring to TrackDayR. This update introduces a mix of new systems, long-requested features, and ongoing improvements across the game. We’ve added AI races and championships, added player statistics, introduced a completely new light system and continued refining both air and ground physics. Tires are one of the most important aspects of the simulation and the racing experience, so we’ve improved and made the management of tire temperature and wear under stress more complex. We’ve also worked on creating a variety of compounds, allowing everyone to choose the best tire for the situation they’ll face. Alongside several UI improvements, this update pushes TrackDayR another step forward. Some changes are immediately visible, others happen under the hood but all of them aim to make the game deeper, better, and more fun to ride.

See you on track.

New Light System

We’ve introduced a new Light System aimed at improving both atmosphere and visual consistency across TrackDayR. Lighting now feels more natural, helping tracks look better while also improving depth and readability during rides.

Beyond visuals, this is an important foundation for future environments and ongoing visual improvements as the game continues to grow.

AI races and Championship

AI Races are now available in a first beta version, introducing a new way to compete in TrackDayR beyond free riding. Players can now race against computer-controlled riders across multiple disciplines, opening new opportunities for training, competition, and progression.

Alongside this, we’ve introduced a new Championship system that lets players create their own championship or choose from prebuilt ones. One championship can be active at a time, giving each run its own identity and progression while keeping the experience focused and easy to manage.

This is an early foundation for the feature, and community feedback will play a key role in its evolution. AI behavior, race balance, and championship structure will continue to be refined over time. Our goal is not simply to add opponents on track, but to begin building a deeper racing experience that can grow alongside the rest of TrackDayR.

Player Statistics

A new Player Statistics system is now available, giving players a much clearer overview of their activity and progress across TrackDayR. You can now monitor track sessions, performance data, riding milestones, and other key stats in one dedicated place, making it easier to understand how your experience evolves over time.

Beyond simply displaying numbers, this system is designed to add more depth and long-term engagement to the game. Whether you enjoy tracking improvement, comparing your riding habits, or simply seeing how much time you’ve spent across different disciplines, Player Statistics offers a new layer of progression outside the track itself.

This is also a foundation we plan to build on over time, with room for expansion as new systems are introduced. Our goal is to give players better tools to follow their journey in TrackDayR, while adding more identity and persistence to the overall experience.

Improved Air and Ground Physics

We’ve continued refining TrackDayR’s physics with major work focused on terrain interaction, steering, and overall bike behavior. One of the biggest changes in this update is how tyres now read and react to different surface types. Soft and sandy terrain, compact dirt, and asphalt can now produce different responses, helping create more distinct riding behavior depending on where and how you ride.

This work is aimed at giving surfaces more identity, so terrain is not just visual, but something that actively influences grip, control, and bike feel. Alongside this, we’ve spent significant time refining steering behavior and the relationship between steering input and lean management, improving consistency and rider control, especially in cornering.

Together, these changes push the riding model another step forward, making the interaction between rider, bike, and terrain feel more dynamic, believable, and rewarding across different disciplines.

Tyre System Rework

Building on the new terrain interaction work, we’ve also reworked tyre temperature and wear management, introducing tyre compounds as part of a broader evolution of the riding model. Different compounds now influence grip, durability, and performance, while interacting with surface conditions in more meaningful ways.

Because tyres now respond alongside different terrain types, this system is not only about setup choices, but also about how the bike behaves as surfaces change. Soft and sandy terrain, compact dirt, and asphalt can all contribute differently to tyre response, helping create a deeper connection between terrain, grip, and rider input.

This adds a new strategic layer to both riding and racing, especially for players who want more control over bike behavior and performance decisions. Together with the terrain and steering improvements, this work pushes the simulation another step forward, making the relationship between tyres, surfaces, and rider control feel more dynamic and believable.

New Acheivements Set

We’ve added a new set of Steam Achievements built around the new AI Races and Championship systems, introducing additional goals tied directly to competition and progression. Wins, podium finishes, race milestones, comeback moments, clean races, and championship objectives can now unlock achievements, giving players more reasons to engage with these new systems.

Rather than acting as simple collectibles, these achievements are designed to reflect meaningful milestones in your racing journey. Some reward consistency, others challenge performance or strategy, while others encourage players to fully explore the new Championship feature.

For completionists, this adds a fresh layer of goals to pursue, while for newer players it also helps highlight different ways to approach the new AI racing content. Together with Player Statistics and Championships, these achievements strengthen the sense of progression, persistence, and identity across the broader TrackDayR experience.

As we wrap up this update, we'd like to take a moment to thank everyone for the incredible support shown to Gianluca and his family over the past weeks. As many of you already know, Gianluca was involved in a serious road accident and is still in critical condition. The messages, comments, patience, and encouragement from this community have meant a great deal to all of us during this difficult time.

Thank you for continuing to support both TrackDayR and the people behind it. 💛 TrackDayR keeps evolving step by step, and we're excited to keep building, refining, and racing together with this amazing community.

See you on the road, on the grid, and on the leaderboard.🏆
