TRACEBACK DEVLOG #1 SUSPECT AI AND ARREST SYSTEM UPDATE
Hello everyone! This is the first official DevLog for TRACEBACK. Today, we’re sharing two major systems that make the core gameplay more tactical and immersive: the Suspect AI and the Arrest System.
SUSPECT AI
Suspects are now unpredictable. With the new system:
A dynamic surrender logic has been added — some suspects pretend to surrender but suddenly attack.
Faster reaction times and smoother transitions between surrender and aggression.
Smarter field of view and pathfinding make each encounter more realistic and intense.
ARREST SYSTEM UPDATE
The arrest system has been completely overhauled. Each operation now feels smoother and more immersive:
New arrest animations
Improved interaction detection
Foundational setup for future command-based arrest sequences
WHAT’S NEXT?
We’re currently working on AI communication, voice reactions, and visual improvements to further enhance the camera realism. These updates will form the foundation for the first playable demo.
