what is done

  • Fixed a bug that caused joining a session always failed on fist attempt

  • Finally made the gamemode "Dogfight" playable

  • Added some oil tanks to the basements oil storage room

  • Removed tonnes of network traffic overhead for multiplayer

  • Fiddled with the network replication / movement prediction / reconciliation

  • Hunted down some performance issues. Still more work to be done

  • Tweaked the optics of the message queue

  • Added objective types "arrival", "pick up", "delivery"

  • Made the objectives hierarchically groupable

  • Added preconditions to objectives - to enable a bit more complex missions

  • Made the lead indicator (aiming point hint) zoom in way more smoothly

  • Added destructible ground targets like tanks and tripods

  • Fixed a lot of smaller stuff

what is currently (temporarily) broken

  • Completed levels don't automatically end right now. Going to fix that soon.

  • Dropping bombs crashes the game right now. Use cannon until fixed

  • Returning home currently does not require to actually land safely.

  • There are serious multiplayer issues. This may take a while to be fixed.

what is next on the list?

  • Selecting objectives mid-flight to get some position indicator

  • Finally building the first real missions

  • Introducing Chaos. You will see what I mean by that.
