Tower of Babel: Survivors Of Chaos changes
Thank you for all the support you have shown for the full release of version 1.0!
We have continued improving the game based on the wide range of feedback you have shared while playing.
As part of that effort, we have prepared our first update: the ‘Turbo Run Update’. (Version 1.1.0)
We know that many of you are very busy. That is why we have compressed run times as much as possible and greatly increased item rewards, allowing you to grow faster than before.
1. Greatly Shortened Run Times
Run times for normal stages, Chaos Dungeon, and Warped Floor have been greatly shortened, allowing you to clear runs faster.
- Normal stage run time reduced by 25%. Examplea run with a previous time limit of 10 minutes → adjusted to 7 minutes 30 seconds.
- Chaos Dungeon and Warped Floor run time reduced by 50%. Examplea run with a previous time limit of 10 minutes → adjusted to 5 minutes.
The total number of enemies that appear during a run remains the same.
2. More Rewards
More items will drop, and higher-grade items will appear more frequently. In particular, Magic Jewels and Runes will appear up to 10 times more often than before.
Magic Jewel and Rune drop chances in normal stages increased by up to 10 times.
Magic Jewel and Rune drop chances in Chaos Dungeon and Warped Floor increased by 10 times.
Legendary Jewel drop chance increased by 2.5 times.
Maximum equipment drops from Elite enemies increased from 5 → 10.
Equipment item drop chance from normal enemies increased by 50%.
Gold dropped by Gold Mimics increased by up to 47%.
Maximum equipment drops from Treasure Goblins increased from 10 → 20.
Maximum equipment drops from the Floor 21 boss increased from 18 → 36.
Maximum equipment drops from normal bosses below Floor 21 increased from 9 → 18.
3. Faster Run Leveling
You can now select 1 ‘Active Skill’ in the Lobby and use it immediately during a run. Also, multiple ‘EXP shards’ will now spawn at the start of a run.
Start a run with 1 ‘Active Skill’ already owned.
After clearing Floor 3, you can select the ‘Active Skill’ to use in the run through the ‘Mysterious Translator’.
Multiple ‘EXP shards’ are generated at the start of a run, allowing faster leveling.
4. Smoother Game Modes
Chaos Dungeon climbing now offers more choices. We are changing the rules to remove dull sections and make gameplay smoother.
Chaos Dungeon now unlocks in 5-level segments. If your character is strong enough, you can skip levels.
- Warped Floor and Boss Arena difficulty and reward standards changedprevious ‘highest Chaos Level’ → new ‘highest cleared Chaos Level’.
Chance for blue EXP shards to spawn in Boss Arena increased by 67%.
Improved visibility of dropped Magic Jewels.
5. Stronger Characters
All Active Skills are becoming more powerful. In addition, heroes now recover a small amount of Life by default.
All Active Skill Damage increased by 30%.
All Active Skill Cooldowns reduced by 15%.
Base Life automatically regenerated every 3 seconds increased from 0% → 1%.
Base auto pickup radius for EXP/Gold increased from 2.4m → 3m.
Brawler Perfect Punch activation frequency doubled.
Brawler normal punch size increased by 20%.
Brawler Basic Attack Range increased from 1.4m → 1.5m.
(Hearth of Souls) Warrior ‘Gouge’ Basic Attack Range increased by 7%, Attack Area decreased by 23%.
(Hearth of Souls) Brawler ‘Knifehand Slash’ Attack Area increase per level changed from 5% → 7.5%.
(Hearth of Souls) Brawler ‘Flying Finger Thrust’ projectile range increased by 38%, projectile size increased by 30%.
(Hearth of Souls) Brawler ‘Piercing Flying Finger Thrust’ projectile piercing chance bonus increased from 10% → 20%.
6. Weaker Enemies
Monster balance is being adjusted in line with these changes. Monsters that previously felt unreasonable have been weakened.
Enemy Life in normal stages decreased by 15%.
Enemy Life in Chaos Dungeon and Warped Floor decreased by 57%.
Enemy Attack Power increase per Chaos Dungeon Curse level changed from 5% → 3%.
Enemy Life increase per Chaos Dungeon Curse level changed from 15% → 7.5%.
Random spawn distance for Fire Self-Destruct Bugs changed from 5.5m ~ 8.0m → 6.7m ~ 8.5m.
7. Bug Fixes
The following combat and gameplay-related issues have been fixed.
Fixed an issue where the chance to restore Life on Fire DoT hit or Critical Hit was applied abnormally.
Fixed an issue where activation chances for Fire DoT Legendary Effects were applied abnormally.
Fixed an issue where the Brawler’s Perfect Punch range increased abnormally.
(Hearth of Souls) Fixed an issue where Warrior ‘Homing Boomerang Axe’ did not return under certain conditions.
(Hearth of Souls) Fixed an issue where the range of Brawler ‘Combo’ skill ‘Hook Punch’ increased abnormally.
(Hearth of Souls) Fixed an issue where the Life restored by Brawler ‘Grim Regeneration’ and ‘Superior Regeneration’ continued to increase.
(Hearth of Souls) Fixed an issue where the effect of Brawler ‘Mountain Stone Punch’ was applied multiple times.
(Hearth of Souls) Fixed an issue where the Attack Area of Brawler ‘Knifehand Slash’, ‘Flying Finger Thrust’, and ‘Smashdown’ increased abnormally under certain conditions.
(Hearth of Souls) Fixed an issue where the Attack Area of Brawler ‘Forward Detonation’ did not increase properly.
Fixed an issue where Basic Attacks would not fire automatically after leaving the game window while ‘Pause on Window Focus Loss’ was turned off.
v1.1.0 ‘Turbo Run Update’ will be applied today.
