Hello, Heroes of Babel. There are now exactly two weeks left until the official launch on May 26, 2026! The full version will add a variety of new content, but we know many of you who played during Early Access are also curious about how the existing systems will change. So today, in Launch Version Preview Part 1, we’d like to first introduce the major changes coming to existing systems.

We’ve improved the overall flow of the game with a focus on faster progression, easier item farming, and a smoother gameplay experience.

Detailed Changes

Character Selection Changes

Before

  • Characters were unlocked sequentially by clearing stages.

After

  • All characters can be selected from the start of the game, including the new character, Skullcrusher.

Altar of Blessings Rework

  • Removed Altar of Blessings levels, which also removes item equip level restrictions.

  • Removed category-based level systems and consolidated bonus effects to make them easier to understand.

  • Greatly reduced the amount of Gold required to reach max level, down to roughly half of the previous amount.

  • Compressed level-up steps to make progression more convenient.

  • Added a reset feature.

  • You can now hold the button to level up continuously.

  • Existing players will receive a full refund of the Gold they spent when playing version 1.0.

Hearth of Souls Rework

Before

  • The upgrade structure focused mainly on Basic and Special Attacks, which limited the usefulness of skill-based builds.

After

  • New nodes have been added for every character, allowing you to enhance skill abilities.

Item Drop Rate Improvements

  • Increased equipment drop rates from monsters.

  • Increased the chance for higher-grade items to appear.

  • Increased the chance for Elite and Boss monsters to drop higher-grade items.

  • Increased the appearance rate of Mimics.

Item Equip Level Restrictions Removed

  • Equip level restrictions have been removed following the removal of the Altar of Blessings level system.

Stash Expansion

  • Expanded the Main Stash by 3x.

  • Expanded the Secondary Stash by 3x as well.

Lobby Movement Speed Improvements

  • Increased base Movement Speed by 20%.

  • Showing mercy to the Beggar can now grant an additional Movement Speed buff.

Magnet Improvements

  • Increased Magnet drop rates.

Shop Improvements

  • Increased the chance for Magic-grade or higher items to appear.

Performance Optimization

  • General optimization has been made to provide a smoother gameplay experience.
