The demo release has been postponed for a few months

Hi there. What happened? I messed up with my SSD with the project before making a backup. Data recovery specialists can't help so far. So my best approach now is to redo the Demo project, some coding, levels, and so on.

changedBackstoryAs you can see it lacked good gameplay feedback, robust in control and progression in addition to terrible visuals, missing sounds, and so on. After receiving feedback from friends, I decided to develop this prototype into a mobile game.
changedBackstoryAt the end of 2021, I was even able to publish it on the App Store (the game is currently unavailable) and make several updates based on analytics and feedback.
addedBackstoryUnfortunately, analytics showed that to make a profit after buying advertising for the game, I need to add an incredible amount of advertising and a "paywall". And that's not why I love games. That was the last time when I did a backup properly.
changedBackstoryI'm got lucky. My family is safe. So far I can continue to do what I can do best. In the autumn of 2023, I decided to make my dream about the game keep going. My next step was to redo Total Gravity in the Desktop game. I am almost done Demo. This is what it looked like in December of 2023. Main gameplay Hub location
changedBackstoryBut as I wrote previously -- I messed up project files.
addedWhat will happen next?I've already started to redo the demo. It's a good opportunity for "code refactoring". Add Total Gravity to Wishlist so don't miss the demo and full game release. Best regards.

Hi there. What happened? I messed up with my SSD with the project before making a backup. Data recovery specialists can't help so far. So my best approach now is to redo the Demo project, some coding, levels, and so on. But I don't need to do it from scratch. There why.

Backstory

Total Gravity started as first my real try to make a playable game in the summer of 2021. You can still play this boring version on Itch.io.

As you can see it lacked good gameplay feedback, robust in control and progression in addition to terrible visuals, missing sounds, and so on. After receiving feedback from friends, I decided to develop this prototype into a mobile game.

At the end of 2021, I was even able to publish it on the App Store (the game is currently unavailable) and make several updates based on analytics and feedback.

Unfortunately, analytics showed that to make a profit after buying advertising for the game, I need to add an incredible amount of advertising and a "paywall". And that's not why I love games. That was the last time when I did a backup properly.

While I was thinking about how to improve the game, on February 24, 2022, a t@rrorist state launched a full-scale military invasion in addition to an already ongoing hybrid war. Games have become irrelevant.

I'm got lucky. My family is safe. So far I can continue to do what I can do best. In the autumn of 2023, I decided to make my dream about the game keep going. My next step was to redo Total Gravity in the Desktop game. I am almost done Demo. This is what it looked like in December of 2023. Main gameplay Hub location

But as I wrote previously -- I messed up project files.

What will happen next?

I've already started to redo the demo. It's a good opportunity for "code refactoring". Add Total Gravity to Wishlist so don't miss the demo and full game release. Best regards.
