TOTAL DRIFTIN': Touge Dreams changes
Total Driftin': Touge Dreams launches today in its full 1.0 version. We want to be completely honest with you, because we owe you that: what the game is, what changed from what we planned, and why the price is what it is.
Let's talk about multiplayer When we started, we had local and online multiplayer in mind. We won't hide it from you: it was part of the plan, and it didn't make it.
We're a small team with several projects on the go, and online done right (netcode, matchmaking, physics fair enough to compete on) is a huge investment. Promising a multiplayer mode we couldn't finish properly would have been deceiving you. So we'd rather tell you the truth and give you a polished, complete single-player game instead of one with a broken leg.
That's why the price is about half of the original The original price was set with that multiplayer in the plan. Since we aren't delivering that part, the fair thing is for you to pay for the game that actually exists, not the one we imagined at the start.
What we poured ourselves into
All the time that didn't go into online went straight to the heart of the game:
The driving: the drift system is tuned to the max, that sweet spot between control and flow that turns mastering the touge into an art.
A big visual leap: we've added 2 new camera views. It sounds basic for a racing game, but it meant creating a ton of new art: backgrounds, skies and environments that weren't visible before. It wasn't just gameplay, it's a complete visual rework.
Lighting and finish: much better lighting and a stylized final polish that gives the game the look we always wanted.
See you on the mountain Thank you to everyone who's climbed with us this far. Tell us how the drift feels, which cars and roads are your favorites, what you thought of the ride. Drop any comment and don't hesitate to talk directly with the team.
Total Driftin': Touge Dreams isn't just a racing game. It's a love letter to drifting, to the mountains, to the night, and to those impossible dreams that only come alive with the engine redlining.
