changedThis is the first public version of the demo with gamepad controls, so please treat it as a testing pass rather than the final word on controller support. We’ve been working on Xbox, PlayStation, Steam Deck, Steam Controller, and generic Steam Input layouts, but there are many different controllers out there, and your feedback will help us catch the weird cases.
addedThis update also adds a native Linux build of the demo. That means the game should now be much easier to run on Linux, and it should also be a better starting point for Steam Deck players.

Hi everyone,

We’ve just updated the Tormentum II demo with something many of you have asked about: controller support.

This is the first public version of the demo with gamepad controls, so please treat it as a testing pass rather than the final word on controller support. We’ve been working on Xbox, PlayStation, Steam Deck, Steam Controller, and generic Steam Input layouts, but there are many different controllers out there, and your feedback will help us catch the weird cases.

This update also adds a native Linux build of the demo. That means the game should now be much easier to run on Linux, and it should also be a better starting point for Steam Deck players.

A small request

If you play the demo with a controller, especially on Steam Deck or Linux, please let us know how it feels.

We’re especially interested in:

  • controllers that do not work correctly

  • buttons that feel wrong or confusing

  • Steam Deck issues

  • Linux-specific problems

  • third-party controller behavior

Thanks for helping us test this. Tormentum II is still growing, and every report makes the final version better.
