Tormented Souls 2 changes
Hey everyone,
We’ve just soft-launched patch 1.5.0.17 via our public beta branch. You can access this version of Tormented Souls 2 as follows:
Right click on the Tormented Souls 2 app in your Steam library and select ‘properties’.
Click ‘Game versions & betas’ from the sidebar and select the ‘public beta’ from the list of game versions.
Click ‘Installed files’ from the sidebar and click ‘verify integrity of game files’. Your game should now automatically update!
This new patch includes two new languages, more settings and controller options, plus minor bug fixes. If you encounter any issues while playing this version, please leave a comment on this post. We’ll continue to test the patch ourselves, and all being well, will role it out to all players in the coming weeks. See below for the full changelog:
New languages
Added Turkish language support.
Added Arabic language support.
Added Arabic fonts for inventory, map, and label text.
Settings
HDR now functions as intended.
Adjusted brightness and gamma settings.
Added ultrawide support.
Added FPS limiter setting.
Fixed issue where players were unable to scale up to 2K resolution.
Controllers
PS5 DualSense functions correctly when using wired and wireless mode.
Fixed PS5 glyph issue on PS5 controller Type A.
Fixed issue where Type C controller layout would stay on screen.
General bugfixes
Fixed lighting issue where the Caroline’s shadow intermittently vanished and reappeared in the Lower Wing area of the Processing Plant.
Fixed issue with school elevator where point of interest interactions were inconsistent.
Fixed audio issue where the crying girl could still be heard after completing the puzzle in the School bathroom.
Fixed issue where candles surrounding mirrors would become unlit when returning from the ‘Other Side’.
Fixed visual issue where shimmer effect was missing on the povidone object in the container office area of the Town section.
Fixed text issue where description of cave collapse did not accurately reflect the visual.
Added animation to tentacles around Joseph in the Train Station area.
Added grime and dirt effects to tape on the phone in the Town area.
Added blood splatter effects to the first additional Shotgun pipe.
Fixed issue where candles on the ‘Other Side’ mirror glow before being lit.
Cursor will now snap to ‘Are you sure?’ pop-up window.
Fixed issue where Shotgun icon shows incorrect number of barrels when equipped using weapon shortcuts.
Fixed lighting issue where lighter would flicker when opening the map in certain areas.
Fixed visual issue where the Iron Maiden’s texture would pop in late after the cutscene in which she is defeated.
Fixed issue where Bunker Elevator could be interacted with from the outside.
Fixed overlapping text issue in save screen.
Fixed visual issue with flickering poster in Workshop.
Fixed enemy behaviour issue where Diver enemy would not chase the player as intended.
DLC-related bugfixes
Fixed issue where DLC costumes were not appearing as intended.
Fixed issue where Caroline’s costume would change during cutscenes.
Fixed texture issue where the ‘Rebel Biker’ costume was not showing Caroline’s belly button.
New Game Plus-related bugfixes
Fixed issue where Flamethrower would aim to the side even when the target is dead ahead.
Please be aware of the following known issues:
FSR & DLSS settings are still being worked on and have not yet been implemented.
There is stutter during transition to the Harvester introduction cutscene.
Tank controls can cause movement stutter when exiting inventory quickly.
