With this new update, games of Topple Survival can now end early if no players are able to reach the end of the level for over 4 minutes. When that happens, the game automatically ends and the Huge Player claims a victory!

It has been a fantastic year of fighting giants with silly hats, giant shields, and shoes for topplers who don't even have feet! But now we face year 2 of Topple Tactics... and its time for some upgrades.

THE HUGE PLAYER CAN WIN NOW!

What's that? Games stalemating because of a perfect Huge player tower defense? No longer! With this new update, games of Topple Survival can now end early if no players are able to reach the end of the level for over 4 minutes. When that happens, the game automatically ends and the Huge Player claims a victory!

As a heads up, a timer will show up on everyone's screen when there is only 100 seconds left on the clock. Make sure you actually HIT the huge player before that time! Just shooting out of the cannon won't be enough!

NEW GAME MODE: TOPPLE TUG OF WAR!

In the spirit of new game rules, we are proud to introduce a mode that directly faces the skill of the little players against the huge player, letting either of them win outright!

In this new mode, the health bar is replaced by a progress bar that starts in the middle.

  • To win the game as a little Toppler, you must reach the end of the level to push the progress bar toward the left, and if the little toppers entirely fill their half of the bar, they win!

  • To win the game as the Huge Toppler, you need to hold off the little players! You slowly regain health over time in this mode, represented by the progress bar slowly moving toward the right side, for a Huge Player Victory! If you can hold off the Little Topplers for long enough and fill your half of the bar, you win!

But let's kick up the challenge: In order to limit hard stomps by one side or the other, this game mode gives progressive buffs to the losing side, to give them a chance at stealing back a victory!

  • If the huge player progresses 33% of the way to victory (from the middle), Little players will receive a small buff to their passive income, speed, knockback resist, ability strength, and jump height!

  • If the huge player progresses 66% of the way to victory, most of these little player buffs are doubled!

  • If the little players are winning instead (by going 33% toward the left of the middle), the Huge player receives more passive income, quickened ability cooldowns, and their towers become stronger

  • if the little players progress 66% of the way to victory, the Huge Player's Buffs become even better!

NEW SECRET UNLOCKABLES AND THE FINAL WEEKLY CHALLENGE!

The Winter Wonderland enters it's final week! And today we introduce a new free cosmetic type: TOPPLER ACCESSORIES! For today's update the first added accessories are winter scarves that you can wear with any skin. You'll have to find them hidden in each map! Good luck on the hunt, and look forward to new accessories being added to the daily cannon reward pool in January!

We have chosen to extend the end of the event to Friday January 3rd, to allow players time to play a few more games and unlock more skins! This is your only chance to grab these skins before they are locked away forever. The final weekly event also rewards a full 10,000 xp to help you claim an extra skin before the end of the event.

ChangeLog:

Tug Of War Mode:

  • When Huge Player is 33% to victory the little players gain "Phase 1" Buffs:

  • Passive Income +30%

  • 12% Speed Bonus

  • +20 Knockback Resist (A flat stat increase instead of a percent)

  • +10 Ability Strength (A flat stat increase instead of a percent)

  • 10% Jump Bonus

  • When Huge Player is 66% to victory the little players gain "Phase 2" Buffs:

  • Passive Income +60%

  • 20% Speed Bonus

  • +40 Knockback Resist (A flat stat increase instead of a percent)

  • +15 Ability Strength (A flat stat increase instead of a percent)

  • 20% Jump Bonus

  • When Little Players are 33% to victory the Huge Player gains "Phase 1" Buffs:

  • Passive Income +50%

  • Ability Cooldowns 15% Faster

  • Towers 10% Stronger

  • When Little Players are 66% to victory the Huge Player gains "Phase 1" Buffs:

  • Passive Income +50%

  • Ability Cooldowns 30% Faster

  • Towers 20% Stronger

  • In this mode, little players can earn medals for winning! The ability to earn a medal is based on your K/D (Or more accurately, your "Shoot/Death") ratio and your total number of times shot at the Huge Player:

  • Diamond Medal: Awarded for K/D >= 2/1 and having a number of kills greater than: (2.5 * player count)

  • Gold Medal: Awarded for K/D >= 1.6/1 and having a number of kills greater than: (2 * player count)

  • Silver Medal: Awarded for K/D >= 1.2/1 and having a number of kills greater than: (1.5 * player count)

  • Bronze Medal: Awarded for K/D >= 1/1 and having a number of kills greater than the number of players in the game.

  • Huge Player Medals in this mode are rewarded as follows:

  • Diamond Medal: Winning in under 4 minutes, & at least 20 little Toppler kills in the match.

  • Gold Medal: Winning in under 7 minutes, & at least 10 little Toppler kills in the match.

  • Silver Medal: Winning in under 10 minutes, & at least 7 little Toppler kills in the match.

  • Bronze Medal: Winning at all, & at least 5 little Toppler kills in the match.

Survival Mode:

  • If 4 minutes passes in game without anyone reaching the end orb, the game immediately ends as a huge player victory.

  • A warning countdown clock appears for the last 100 seconds to let little players know how much time they have left to try and win.

Balance Changes:

  • Spiky Cleats price changed from 80 -> 60 topple coins. And they now resist ice effect and wind effect while on the ground AND while in the air. Spikey Cleats also now work against Ice cannon, which was a bug previously.

  • Steel shoes now preserve 50% speed boost when upgrading from running shoes, instead of removing all speed boost.

  • Metal Shoes with holes and Chunky shoes both benefit from this preserved speed boost, making them both faster.

  • Aeroplane hat 400% fall speed reduction reduced to 300%
