Top Check update 0.3.0 is out now! This update primarily focuses on increasing the game's overall polish.

Here's a summary of the changes introduced in this update:

  • Add the new Conquest mode option to Roguelike Run

  • In Conquest mode, you can complete a challenge either by checkmate or by capturing all enemy pieces except the King

  • This option is intended to increase accessibility of the game mode to players who aren't familiar with mating patterns

  • Reduce starting pawn reserves in Roguelike Run (3 -> 1)

  • Reduce the cost of the Plague card (5 -> 4)

  • Adjust the Pawn Army game modifier

  • Now reads "Every 4 turns, your opponent will summon a pawn if possible."

  • Update challenge generation to favor using duplicate pieces

  • Remove cards with the Leader trait from the Roguelike Run starting deck pool

  • Update some trait descriptions to improve clarity
