New Content “Tomo Jam! Main Theme”

A new built-in song has been added to the library:

Tomo Jam! Main Theme

Yo dawg, I heard you like Tomo Jam, so I put Tomo Jam in your Tomo Jam so you can Tomo Jam while you Tomo Jam

New Feature Emoji Wheel in Gameplay

The Emoji Wheel can now be used during gameplay.

A small change, but a fun one - now you can react in the middle of a performance without waiting for the results screen.

Minor Update Update to latest General User GS SF2

You likely won't notice much a difference here, but to keep things up to date I swapped to the very latest version of the General User GS "General MIDI" sound font. Custom Sound Fonts should be implemented very soon, stay tuned!

Difficulty Display Update Heat Score Recalculation

Heat scores have been recalculated across songs for better accuracy.

This does not change gameplay or chart difficulty. It simply means songs should now display a more accurate heat level based on their actual difficulty.

This change is in an effort to have more reliable difficulty benchmarking to open up the door for an overall progression system in the near future (think Osu! Performance Points).

Online Improvements

A few improvements have gone into the online flow this week:

  • Added a join chime when a client enters a Jam Session

    • Only the host hears it

  • Hardened the lobby join flow / sync gates

    • This should help ensure players stay properly synced when joining sessions

  • Fixed some animations in the online player status panel

Online play continues to get refined week by week, thank you for the feedback and bug reports and for hopping into online sessions with friends (and with me!)

More updates soon, and as always, keep jammin'~

Frank,

Restless Games
