addedAs a new member of the Paranormal Detective Agency it will be essential to understand the tools you have here at HQ, so we’ve prepared a little refresher for you. Pay close attention as there’s quite a bit to cover… but once we’re done you’ll be able to handle even the most confounding of paranormal cases.

changedBrightness Adjustment ToolBrightness of images and photos being analyzed can be adjusted for closer inspection of details. This may allow you to see pieces of evidence that were previously indiscernible.

changedAudio Tool/Audio AnalysisYou can use specialized equipment to analyze audio files saved on the PC and cassette tapes etc. that contain recorded audio. Detected sound and voices are divided into blocks, and individual frames are displayed as the audio plays. You can clip out blocks of audio waveforms that the AI detects and isolate it for further inspection.

Analysis Mode

You can read through evidence and other materials related to your case. When you enter Analysis Mode, an eye-shaped cursor will appear. You can use this to find words that may be related to the case. Tomona will talk to you when analyzing key words highlighted in red, providing you valuable information to progress your investigation.

Report

Prepare a report summarizing your investigation of the case. Select screenshots, documents, or photos that support your answers and Tomona will give you an assessment of how accurate your answer and evidence are. When you have completed all the answers, you can submit your report.

Door

You can use the door to go outside during investigations. The map will be displayed when you select the door, and you can choose a destination. The available destinations change with each case and update as your investigation progresses. There are over 11 locations that will appear in total, be sure to take a break and check the map now and then. Your interactions with characters may provide useful leads in your case.

BGM

Listen to different background music tracks. Remember that it’s just as important to take time for yourself between all the investigations. Treat your ears to something soothing to help clear your mind… but don’t slack off too much!

We hope you’ll make the best use of all the tools at your disposal to progress in your cases. For now, we hope you’re looking forward to the official English release of TOKYO PSYCHODEMIC! Full Japanese release will be May 30th, 2024… but expect some news on the official English release soon! This should give you plenty of time to brush up on everything you’ve learned so far, rookie.
