WE ARE BACK

Hello everyone, dear friends, It’s been a long time since I shared an update for Together in Between. I’m fully aware of that, and I know the silence may have caused frustration or negative thoughts.

Repeated intro

Hello everyone, dear friends,

addedThis period has been intense for me both personally and professionally. I went through a breakup, dealt with new projects, studio responsibilities, financial and operational pressure, and the mistake of expanding the team to 12 people. Naturally, my focus became scattered. While working on our new titles at Vellichor Games, Together in Forgotten Lands and Ticking Together , I had to dedicate most of my energy there. But that never reduced the value of Together in Between for me. On the contrary, every new thing I learned made me think, “I wish I had done this in the first game as well.”
changedI want to revisit the game and make it a more solid, smoother, and more satisfying experience. There is still a game-breaking bug affecting some players in one of the puzzles, and we have not been able to fully resolve it. I will start there and focus on technical improvements first.
addedThe review score is currently Mixed, and many negative reviews mention a lack of guidance. I have taken that feedback seriously. We will improve puzzle and environment guidance, not by treating players like everything needs to be spelled out, and not by adding meaningless hints, but by designing smarter and more thoughtful directions.
changedIn addition to that, there will be quality of life improvements and, if possible, small but meaningful content additions.

It’s been a long time since I shared an update for Together in Between. I’m fully aware of that, and I know the silence may have caused frustration or negative thoughts. I’ve wanted to speak openly about this for quite some time.

First of all, thank you to everyone who believed in this small black and white co-op puzzle idea, played the game, recommended it to a friend, and shared feedback. This game is built around two people thinking and solving together. Leaving it unattended was something that hurt me the most.

This period has been intense for me both personally and professionally. I went through a breakup, dealt with new projects, studio responsibilities, financial and operational pressure, and the mistake of expanding the team to 12 people. Naturally, my focus became scattered. While working on our new titles at Vellichor Games, Together in Forgotten Lands and Ticking Together, I had to dedicate most of my energy there. But that never reduced the value of Together in Between for me. On the contrary, every new thing I learned made me think, “I wish I had done this in the first game as well.”

Now I have made a clear decision.

I am returning to Together in Between.

I want to revisit the game and make it a more solid, smoother, and more satisfying experience. There is still a game-breaking bug affecting some players in one of the puzzles, and we have not been able to fully resolve it. I will start there and focus on technical improvements first.

The review score is currently Mixed, and many negative reviews mention a lack of guidance. I have taken that feedback seriously. We will improve puzzle and environment guidance, not by treating players like everything needs to be spelled out, and not by adding meaningless hints, but by designing smarter and more thoughtful directions.

In addition to that, there will be quality of life improvements and, if possible, small but meaningful content additions.

This time, I have no intention of disappearing silently until the work is done. I will communicate more regularly and share progress updates. It may be a small game, but it holds a very special place for me. The foundations of Vellichor Games, and the feeling of two people thinking together, which is fitting since we are back to being two people in the company again, were built here.

We are sitting back at the table now, and this time we are more experienced, more conscious, and more determined.

Thank you for being here with us.
