New characters!

Zé Maneco:

At first you find the boss of the Krazy Katz gang down bad so with the hungover that his color even left the body, he quickly gets better whenever he drinks a good sip of the Krazy Kat's signature HA-HA Coffee Beans, a holy cure for the worst of the hangovers.

King Trajano's Special Puff Puff:

After you bring a disgruntled Rei Trajano his special Smoking Herbs, he fills his hookah and takes a massive puff and molds that into his own likeness as a proof of bravery and grit (nobody actually cares, but he thinks so). After that, he changes from a King with a chip on his should to a chill rat.

New Features!

We've been hard at work on Toada Brava, and this past month manage to finish a new enemy type, with new attacks! Meet the Klown Kat!

A member of the Krazy Katz faction, this dude loves drinking. In fact, he might drink even during battles to heal HP! That is, when he isn't throwing his bottle at you.

We also added a new Toada to Kako : Banana Punch!

New Areas!

We've added new areas to close the current build - a bridge, the Klown Keep, and the Rat Trap areas!

Prison Bridge:

It's just a bridge but it holds a scenic view of the Duke's Palace on the background. The moon shines behind the palace, as if it powered the omnious secrets that damned mansion holds within it's rotten core.

The Klown Keep:

This section of the prison complex, on the other hand, was occupied by the Krazy Klowns, a rival faction of the Junk Rats led by Boss Maneco, a huge drunkard with a weird sense of humor, and that extended to his minions, which aside of always having a drink on their hands, have a weird HA-HA-HAbit of laughing mid sentence, it weirds everybody out.

The Rattrap:

This area is a pavillion of the Santacrúz Prison Complex dominated by the vicious Junk Rats and their leader King Trajano. They've painted everything green and graffited the walls with their likeness, they've also littered the whole place with cigarette butts, they don't really mind the smoky smell.

More polish!

We're still hard at work polishing the game, and have been paying special attention to the timing hits. In Toada Brava, we have attack and defense timing systems where pressing a button at the right time can help you do a combo attack, or defend the enemy attack completely. You can even reflect some attacks!

As a thank for for reading this far, here's something special! A bug that happened while we were working on the game this week, where enemies affected by Kako's Banana Punch Toada just flinged them off-screen completely, never to return!

View store page We've asked Matheus, the sole artist on the project, to share his thoughts on his favorite art piece so far:

"It's hard to pick only one, I like them as a whole, and how they just work together in context. But I think I have a special place in my heart for Kako's signature move 'Banana Punch' which is the first Magic Toada he learns and encapsulates so much about him, the game and the project.

It expresses Kako's background as a banana farmer and his both sides as a character: brawler and caretaker (which he got from his mother and grandpa, respectively). At a bigger picture, it also brings so much of our brazilian identity to the forefront of the project."
