It's been 10 days since Tiny Train Tycoon was released. Here's a summary of all the significant changes so far, including updates to the demo.

  • Added notifications when cheats are activated

  • Fixed incorrect next/previous object selection order while building

  • Added an animation to the "Play Game on Random Map" button in the main menu

  • Removed duplicate notifications about track price and storage availability when rotating tracks

  • Slightly improved the building mode UX

0.9.0

Changed the city economy: it is no longer possible to transport passengers back and forth infinitely. Trains now have to wait until new passengers want to leave the city. The city's population affects how many people are willing to travel.

  • Trains now crash if their cargo collides with an obstacle

  • Cargo on flat cars can now fall off after an impact

  • Fixed incorrect placement of cloned trains when placed on the map

  • Added a "Nothing" option to sign settings. Signs can now trigger actions for empty trains

  • Added a loading screen (game resources are loaded while the game logo is displayed)

  • The number of passengers willing to travel is now shown in the city window

  • Added random map game settingsgame mode (Classic/Sandbox), landscape type, and map generation (enabled/disabled)
  • Added an option to quit the game to the main menu

  • Added warnings about losing progress when leaving the game

  • Added building name tooltips while selecting buildings in Sandbox mode

  • Added a new building toolbar with a Flip button

  • Improved map zoom: you can now zoom out much farther to see more of the map

  • Changed city level rewards: rewards are now granted only every 5 levels (5, 10, 15...)

  • Building menu tooltips now also display the prices of tracks, signs, and decorations

  • Made minor improvements to the Train Formation window

  • Added sign descriptions (available via a dedicated button in the sign window)

Demo Changes

  • Same changes as the main game

0.8.3 (compared to 0.7.10)

Highlights: Added cities, procedural map generation, and the Economy mode, replacing the previous Sandbox-only gameplay. The game now also features sound effects and music.

  • Added two new windows: "World" and "Goals". The Goals system is still under development, while the World window displays a list of all cities and industries on the map

  • Added new nature objects: trees, bushes, cacti, and rocks

  • Improved building and city coverage visualization

  • Added separate Sandbox and Economy modes. In Economy mode, buildings and cities cannot be built, moved, or removed

  • Changed train notifications: the "maximum speed reached" message is now shown only once after the player starts a train

  • The Train Formation window now closes automatically when trains are removed from a depot

  • Added a tooltip explaining the in-game currency (Shahs)

  • Added Storageall purchased objects (locomotives, train cars, tracks, decorations, and signs) that are not placed on the map are now stored there. Storage counts are displayed in the building and Train Formation windows. Selling items is not yet available
  • Added a convenient context menu for crashed trains

  • Added the ability to immediately place a crashed train back on the tracks

  • Added city level rewardseach new city level grants × 1000 Shahs
  • Changed F5/F6 key bindings

  • Removed the ability to spawn a random train with F5

  • Added a purchasing system for locomotives, train cars, tracks, decorations, and signs

  • Added train operation costs: besides the existing cost per meter traveled, removing each train car from the tracks now costs 10 Shahs (including during train reversal)

  • Added notifications showing the price and storage availability of the currently selected building object

  • Added the ability to clone trains already placed on the map (previously this was only possible in depots)
