Some players are experiencing issues where the game fails to properly detect the Steam ID, leading to new saves not loading correctly, potential conflicts, or corrupted files. This is causing progress loss for affected users, and we're truly sorry for the frustration this has caused.

Our team is actively investigating and working on a hotfix to resolve this as quickly as possible. We'll keep you updated on progress.

In the meantime, here's a temporary workaround to recover your progress:

• Your old/existing save files are located in: Documents > KatrGames > TinyChaos > [Your Steam ID folder]

• New saves (if the game runs) are being created in: Documents > KatrGames > TinyChaos

Recommended steps:

1. First, back up your save files! Copy the entire TinyChaos folder (and subfolders) to a safe location (e.g., desktop or external drive) to prevent any further loss.

2. Copy the contents from your old save folder (Documents > KatrGames > TinyChaos > [Your Steam ID]) into the main new save directory: Documents > KatrGames > TinyChaos.

3. Launch the game and check if your progress loads correctly.

This should allow the game to detect and use your previous saves. If you encounter any issues with this process, please reply here with details (including your OS if possible).
