Times and Galaxy changes
“Better late than never.” That's what they say, especially when they are just me, Ben, the weirdo at the helm of Times & Galaxy’s development.
It’s been light years, but Patch 6 is here. It's pretty dull and utilitarian. We set to work unclogging some nasty code drains and gassing some persistent, pesky bugs hiding in the darker corners of the Scanner. This is why we are calling it the Janitorbot Patch. We want our game squeaky clean!
The most notable fixes?
A handful of rare but consistent softlocks in dialogue have been addressed in multiple levels:
on the ship after talking to the Mechanic in Cycle 6
during a conversation about Oren’s bully in Cycle 13
in conversation with Arwin during Cycle 15
on the Barley’s haunted farm when talking to Leep Jr. or initially refusing the implant
and when first entering the Silly Cube recall press conference if you somehow sneaked around our clever level design and interacted manually with a character before triggering the intro.
In addition to a handful of smaller fixes, various typos have been caught and killed (RIP typos; you will not be missed).
Most of the bugs fixed in the patch were caught by players who reported them to us via the forum, Fellow Traveller Discord, or e-mail. I can’t thank you enough.
There's still one more patch in the works, something more substantive. Details to come, but it’s my intention for this last patch to be a doozy. And to release it some time before the world ends. Ideally well before then.
