changedIt's Oliver again, been a while. In the last post I was talking about how the game has just been released, there has been a couple updates since then that I'm quite happy with and now Steam NEXT FEST just just begun! The topic of today's update is an already begun change within the game's core personality. From the very beginning TOTW has just been a very basic Fantasy game with a very generic setting. A Demon/Monster King returning, a hero's party, etc. I didn't really like this and have finally made the hard decision to push for a specific aesthetic. Time of the Wizard will now be heading toward a Norse Setting with Runes, Magic, Realms, Gods and Nordic monsters. Some small changes already include the Goblins changing to Trollkin with big beards, tusks and an overall new look. Also, Skeletons are now considered Draugr with visible battle scars, withered clothing and blue eyes.
addedWhats next for Time of the Wizard? I'm not yet entirely certain but expect updates in the future to push further towards this Norse look with new enemies, furniture and so on. In this latest update I have also added a hub area before combat begins for players to relax and try out different spells on test dummies. In the future this will expand and hold all sorts of interactable npcs that may or may not give the player things to do/upgrade. The demo will likely not have these npc present but in the full game you can expect light meta progression like more elements being unlocked and so on. I believe that is everything for now, if you enjoy TOTW then please drop a wishlist, maybe join our discord and fill out our feedback form. We are always looking for more feedback and suggestions to add such as controller support (Which is still in the works don't worry!).
