Timber Life changes
Welcome, foresters! I'm so excited to have you following along on the development of Timber Life. It's been about a week since the Steam page launch, and I wanted to share links to the public roadmap as well as the FAQ.
Background - How I Use The Roadmap
I have two roadmaps set up via Milanote. One is my internal roadmap and the second is an external public roadmap. You can find the Public Roadmap here. The public roadmap is split into different columns: Released, Next Update, Soon, Planned, and Ideas. My internal roadmap has additional information for me as more of a task list or notepad, but the items on the public roadmap are actually synced to items on my internal one. So a lot of what you see is the same as what I see. I'm trying to be as transparent as possible in my development process.
Released
Obviously nothing is released yet, so there's nothing in that column.
Next Update
The Next Update column shows things that I've finished getting into the game but are currently in testing. I'll be having closed alpha and beta tests, followed by a public beta test.
Soon
The Soon column is for things that I'm either currently working on or will be working on very soon. Once I've gotten them in the game, they'll move over to the Next Update column for testing.
Planned
This column shows features that I'm planning to put into the game but are currently a lower priority.
Ideas
This is a spot where I'm compiling suggestions from the community. Anything here is something I'm exploring but haven't decided whether it will make it into the game. If you have a suggestion, please post in the Community tab!
What about the color strips?
Each item on the roadmap has a color strip on top depending on what type of feature or task it is. Yellow is for code-related things, Green is for content-related, Purple is for NPC-related. The colors are very broad and honestly sometimes a little bit subjective on my end.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
I've also added a list of frequently asked questions to the community discussion tab. As I get questions, I'll consider adding more. You can find that here.
