What changed

  • Gameplay
  • Balance
addedOne of the pieces of feedback we received the most was to add CPU-controlled bots to play it alone for practice or just fun. This makes total sense and it is something we really wanted to make since the beginning, but being a one-person dev team sadly limited what could be done without affecting the scope of the game and delaying other basic features that needed more time and attention.
addedA roadmap was released mid-December mentioning the release of leaderboards in January, thinking it would be a nice way to attract more players. But after analyzing the current game's state, and evaluating what could give bigger benefits long term, we have decided to make Bots the current highest priority instead of leaderboards and other features we considered less impactful, with work already started on the implementation of computer-controlled AI enemies inside the game. This we hope will give the game an extra leg to stand on its own and it will be an important foundation for new content to come in the future.
addedNow, to the changes on the new patch v0.1.6 released:
changedIncreased flamethrower damage and ammo capacity for Mech Suit - Updated dismemberment performance on clients - Updated strafe-jumping character movement code to use the latest UE5.4 character code changes - Misc UI changes and performance fixes
