Hello everyone, today we have exciting news about the first major update coming to Thomas & Friends™: Wonders of Sodor, built using your community feedback with changes we hope will make the experience even better!

Thomas & Friends™: Wonders of Sodor changes

Gameplay & Services
Adjusted frequency of red signals
Added new checkpoints after cutscenes in several scenarios
Added a tool tip explaining the accelerator
Moved stopping points on Jack Frost scenario to reduce SPAD risks at red signals
Enabled checkpoints on console platforms
Fixed an issue causing the Live Map to intermittently freeze
Fixed an issue causing the left stick on controllers to stop working
Fixed controller switching to driver’s seat when going back into First Person camera
Removed checkpoints that caused players to derail upon coupling in several scenarios
Changed signal behaviour so that players are slowed down when approaching red signals to prevent derailing at excessive speeds
Diesel's first service of the day now has a stop at Ffarquahr instead of going via Ffarquahr for his instruction at Ffarquahr to try to prevent the player from getting softlocked
James first service with the tanker wagons, and his return service with them, have been updated to ensure that SPADs do not happen unexpectedly
Adjusted the ending position of previous shunt procedure before James' final service to move to the sheds changed to prevent James rolling forward on that service before uncoupling
Fixed an issue with Diesel's move to the harbour from Ffarquhar. The stop can now be passed through without failing, enabling the player to reverse to the marker
Fixed an issue with throttle incorrectly invoking and revoking when pausing
Fixed an issue in Emily and the Express where the first narrator line would sometimes not display correctly
Fixed an issue where services involving the turntable would sometimes fail the player
Fixed a wrong signal during Gordon’s 07:29 service
Fixed Challenges not updating for Thomas after completing ‘Thomas and Gordon’
Final ‘Stop At’ objectives now allow the player to reverse if they do not SPAD and complete the objective as expected
Knapford Yard replaced with Knapford in both departure and arrival locations to allow the destination to be displayed in these circumstances
Corrected the spelling of the word "Chuckled" in the subtitles for Percy's Driver during Jack Frost
Various fixes to several typos in scenario subtitles
Locos & Characters
Updated all formations using the Express Coaches (Red and Green variants) to fix an issue where the brake coach was flipped the wrong way
Fixed Sir Topham Hatt being too blurry in some scenarios
Fixed wheels moving after cars come to a stop
Fixed an issue where Emily's facial expressions were not being updated correctly
Fixed an issue where green flickering was appearing on all trains
Fixed an issue where Gordon was still producing smoke despite being broken down
Fixed the reversers of some locos not animating correctly
Fixed Express Coach formations so that the last coach is placed the correct way
Removed formations larger than 5 trucks/vans + brakevan as Percy was incapable of pulling them
Removed Sir Topham Hatt’s speaking animation
Route & Environment
Adjusted and improved lighting along several tunnels, mainly Henry’s Tunnel
Adjusted the fog levels at Vicarstown
Adjusted turntables to remove the gap between rails
Adjusted signals around the tunnel south of Vicarstown near Killdane to make them more visible
Fixed various rail joint rendering issues
Fixed areas of missing collision on the far Knapford platform
