They Are Here: Alien Abduction Horror changes
Hey everyone, we are back!
First of all we want to apologize for going quiet after our last update at the end of 2025! 🙇 Contrary to speculation we weren’t abducted, we’ve just been extremely deep in development over the last 8 months. Thank you for sticking with us!
Today we can finally share some good news! They Are Here: Alien Abduction Horror will be launching on Steam, PlayStation 5, XBOX Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch in Fall 2026 🥳👽.
While we’re not quite ready to reveal the exact release date yet, we do have plenty of news to share with you, and for players discovering They Are Here for the first time, we’ve put together a quick overview of what to expect from the 2-part Steam demo that is currently featured in Steam Next Fest June Edition. Read on for full details:
🛸 What’s included in the Steam demo?
Are you ready to face the unknown? In our special two-part demo you will first play through the ‘Prologue’ set 30 years prior to the events of the main game where private Michael Anderson responds to the sudden appearance of a fast-moving unidentified flying object near the remote Grayswood Farm. But as he sets out on foot into the eerie woods to investigate the crashsite, he soon realises that someone, or something, is stalking him in the darkness…
In part two you will play through the ‘Demo’ where grizzled journalist Taylor Fox travels to the Grayswood Farm to interview the Sherman family following reports of unexplained phenomena, bright lights in the sky, and a strange presence in the cornfields surrounding their home. When Taylor finds the farmstead deserted he immediately begins his search for clues only to uncover a horrifying truth…
❓Has the demo been updated for Next Fest?
As we’ve been focusing all our efforts on the development of the main game we made the conscious decision not to update the current demo version for Next Fest. We’re very sorry if this disappoints players who have been following the game for a while, but we hope you’ll understand that by focusing on the main game, we’ll have more time for extra content and polish ahead of launch in Fall 2026. Please note that the voiceover and 2D art found in both the prologue and demo have since been replaced in the main game which leads us onto…
