The Witch of Fern Island changes
Today, we’re pushing the first patch to the full version of The Witch of Fern Island. Thank you for all of the feedback so far, we’re working hard on resolving any issues you might have. Remember that the best way to voice both your concerns and encouragement is our Discord server. Come chat with us!
When it comes to issues with performance, remember that if you’re playing on a laptop, make sure that the game is not using your integrated graphics card when you launch it - this is a common issue on laptops and will greatly affect the performance. Additionally, this game uses DX12 by default, and some older configurations simply do not support it; to resolve this, please check out our pinned post on Steam Forums:

This is of course a temporary solution while we work on a more permanent one. We apologize for the inconvenience.
And now, time for the patch notes:
BUGFIXES
Controller sticks can now be used during keyboard prompts that appear when you need to enter text (eg. naming your cat); previously, only d-pad was available
Fixed an issue that could prevent the player from swapping tabs in menus with a controller
Fixed an issue that could cause statue riddles to be impossible to complete
Using a Nectar on Insect Hotel now correctly displays its duration
Text prompt in Options that informs the player about having to restart the game to implement DX changes is now displayed correctly

Fixed a commission with missing object and task giver information
Fixed DLC items descriptions

Improved controller navigation in stores and menus
After starting a New Game, a new text prompt will be displayed, offering information about saving and profile systems used by the game
Added “Controls” tab to Options on Steam Deck
Added three new Vsync settings: FPS lock at 120, 144 and 240 (note that Frame Generation generates additional frames, so if you turn it ON, you might see the game go over the limit you set)

You can now pick up a Wardrobe
Best Regards, Enjoy Studio team
