addedLet me briefly explain why the game works this way. It was always my intention to make it a bit difficult to fully restart the game. The feeling of permanent loss is important to the core themes of the game, and having some friction here is meant to encourage you to accept the consequences of your decisions. The ending you recieved is your ending, and the choices you made are your choices. Making it a bit difficult to restart is meant to encourage you to sit with your decisions for a bit before jumping in to a new game.

Hi everyone,

I'm happy to announce I've just pushed live an update to make it a little easier to wipe your save files and restart from the True Beginning of the game. The below text will explain how to do it. If you haven't played the game yet, don't worry about reading this! It will contain vague spoilers.

How to reset your saves: Once you have reached a final ending sequence, press the number 0 or the letter O on your keyboard. This will open up a dialogue that will give you the option to wipe your saves and restart over again from the very beginning. You should know you're in a final ending when you cannot progress any further.

Let me briefly explain why the game works this way. It was always my intention to make it a bit difficult to fully restart the game. Buuuut after getting lots of player feedback on this one, I do think it went a bit far. Resetting ended up requiring a lot of messing around with cloud saves, and some players were unable to get it to work at all. So, I've decided to use this method which still has some friction to it - you have to find out and look up this solution to find what to do - but doesn't require any technical know-how.

Thanks again to everyone who's played the game over the last almost-a-year. I couldn't be more thankful for the wonderful reviews and comments the game has recieved.

Cheers,

Jack McNamee.
