changedIn The Technomancer, you’ll need strength in numbers to survive the hostile Red Planet. Not everyone on Mars is out to do you harm. Over the course of your adventure, you’ll gather a ragged band of companions to fight at your side. To overcome the many dangers that lie in wait, you’ll need to arm your party with crafted and looted equipment. Build relationships with your companions – but remember that not all will look fondly on the actions and choices you make. When out exploring or fighting, you can select up to two companions in your party to join you. Choose carefully, as they each have their own unique fighting styles to complement your own. They can also make use of special talents, such as crafting, scientific knowledge, or lockpicking. Picking one companion over another has a significant impact on your experience in The Technomancer – not only in gameplay, but also on the story itself. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LUUlZAGbo60
addedBuild Relationships, Earn TrustYour companions all have their own agendas and preoccupations. They’ll ask for help and favours. Should you decide to accept their requests, you will trigger a special series of missions that let you learn more about their past. These personal quests add numerous hours of gameplay, improve relations with your companions and enrich the main story. Your companions level up alongside you. Each gets their own inventory from where you can modify their gear at any time. If you decided to level up as a crafter, you can even upgrade their equipment using your skills. This will ensure that your party is always performing at their best with regards to survivability and lethality. The choices you make on Mars will not only change the course of the planet, but will affect your companions as well. If your decisions consistently upset a member of your group, they may leave you behind. On the other hand, impress them enough and friendships or romances can blossom.
addedWith Friends Like These…Mars isn’t a world that rewards honourable deeds. Few heroes lie in wait amidst its arid, red sands. Your companions are flawed, and each have their own motivations for joining your adventure. Scott is one of Zachariah’s oldest friends. He is a scientist, doctor, and eccentric who suffers from a crippling alcohol addiction. Amelia is an expedition driver with a lot of experience on the road. Adventuring is in her blood, so she loves to learn about lost cities and relics from before the Turmoil. Phobos is a strong and powerful mutant who only desires for his people to be united. Unlike most mutants, he is well-educated and sees a light wherever there’s darkness. The passion he has for his people is unrivalled, so it would be a bad idea to mistreat them in his presence. These are just a few of the many companions you can potentially recruit on your journey across the Red Planet. Some will be assigned to you unwillingly, others may join because it benefits them. Whatever the circumstances, their future, and Mars’ destiny, is in your hands. Forge the destiny of Mars in this epic sci-fi RPG, available June 28, on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
