The Spotter: Dig or Die changes
PATCH 1.0.6 is live on Steam DEMO version. Fixes:
Fixed texture bug on lamp above the digging area
Fixed sound loudness in the cut-scene (Audio settings now also have a dedicated setting for cut-scene volume)
Fixed wrong icon on prickly pear buff indicator
Fixed minor missing localizations
Fixed an issue where the “Not Enough Energy” notification did not trigger correctly while holding the dig button.
General Improvements and QoL Adjustments:
Reworked and polished start cut-scene
Adjusted the concrete slab in-front of the gas station entrance so it wont stumble the player
Adjusted text in the tutorial right after using the detector hinting to be careful digging too deep
Renamed save slots to “Autosave” and “Manual save” for better clarity
Added option to control main menu interface sounds volume in the Audio settings
Added option to control cut-scene sounds volume in the Audio settings
Added collectible progress information in Pause menu
Added a new collectible!
Balance Adjustments:
Increased prickly pear buff duration from 1 minute to 4 minutes
Slightly decreased energy consumption from digging
Performance Improvements:
Optimized voxel chunk rendering to significantly reduce draw calls.
Improved performance when looking into deep excavated areas.
Reduced CPU (Render Thread) load in large voxel scenes.
Minor background optimizations for smoother gameplay on mid-range PCs.
Players with older GPUs and CPUs should see improved stability and more consistent FPS, especially in large dug-out areas.
