The Siege of Brimir changes
This update brings a significant upgrade to the game’s performance and stability.
🔧 Engine Upgrade to Unreal Engine 5.6 The project has been updated from UE 5.4 to 5.6, resulting in smoother gameplay, better stability, and improved overall performance.
🚀 Performance Improvements In addition to the engine upgrade, many internal optimizations were made:
Tweaked multiple project settings for better efficiency
Reduced VRAM usage on various assets
General cleanup and optimization passes across the project
In my tests, these changes resulted in 15% to 30% higher performance, depending on the scenario.
🐛 Bug Fixes & Stability
Fixed the issue where you could… grapple the Moon.
Resolved several crashes caused by too many destruction elements spawning in a single frame
⚔️ Gameplay Adjustments
Increased plasma projectile speed — in the final level they can now properly keep up with (and hit) the Eurofighter
A Note to Players
Some players have previously mentioned performance issues in their reviews. This update puts a strong focus on improving performance, and I’ve worked hard to make the game run smoother for everyone.
If you feel the performance has improved on your system after this update, you’re welcome to revisit your review, — your honest feedback is always appreciated either way.
