The Quiet Weight changes
Over the last few days, I’ve been watching how players move through the demo, where they get stuck, and what breaks the flow. One moment stood out: the first encounter with Pain. It was too fast, too punishing, and not clear enough to survive on a first attempt.
I’ve made a few adjustments to help the encounter land the way it was meant to:
Slightly slower movement and reaction from Pain
Clearer behavioral hints added to the Diaries
A bit more room to understand what’s happening before things escalate
Tweaked the radius, size and range of the flashlight
These changes should make the moment tense and readable, without losing its emotional weight.
To everyone who played the demo so far — thank you. Your playthroughs are incredibly helpful, and I’ll keep refining the experience throughout the festival.
