Steam post imageHello,Greetings again, this is PD Romantic Writer.Today, I’d like to share some fairly significant improvements with you.One of the core combat systems in The Player Who Can’t Level Up, the “Berserk Skill,” has been completely redesigned.

Berserk: From Speed to Presence

Previously, Berserk was a burst-damage skill built around extremely fast attack speed.

It unleashed rapid consecutive attacks—almost like a chaotic bombardment of strikes.

However, the feedback from players was very clear.

"When attack speed is pushed to the extreme, it doesn’t feel very different from normal attacks."

This feedback led our team to completely rethink the Berserk system.

And we reached one conclusion.

“Berserk should not simply make the player faster—it should transform them into something entirely different.”

A New Berserk Inspired by the Original Story

This renewal is not just a numerical adjustment.

We reinterpreted Kigyu’s presence from the original work and rebuilt it into a new combat experience within the game.

When Berserk mode activates, the rhythm of combat itself changes.

  • Overwhelming impact in every single strike

  • The ability to instantly close the distance to enemies far away, almost as if crossing space itself

  • Heavy attack combos chained from normal attacks now affect wide areas

  • Devastating area attacks that fill the entire screen

Berserk is no longer simply a “faster state.”

It is now a mode that dominates the battlefield.

And One More Thing

There is actually one more bold change introduced in this renewal.

While Berserk mode is active,

Kigyu gains near-limitless self-sustainability.

Even after taking damage, his health rapidly regenerates.

Most attacks can no longer interrupt the flow of battle.

In other words, Berserk is no longer just an offensive buff.

It has become

“an absolute state that controls both offense and survival.”

How far you can push this power will depend entirely on your playstyle.

We hope you enjoy experimenting with this mode when playing The Player Who Can’t Level Up.

Now, I’ll return to the development battlefield and come back with more exciting news next time.

Thank you.
