This small patch is meant to address high severity issues as reported by the community. While we understand there are more issues than this patch fixes, we wanted to get something out before the holiday as fast as possible.

Ensure you have the correct build number on the main menu. You must complete the update before playing. Steam: 1.6.5.218041 [net.18.10.8.8ba6da] to 1.6.6.218163 [net.18.10.8.8ba6da]

Fixes in this release

  • Fixed an issue where duplicate NPC dwarves would appear in their original spawn location in the world after being dismissed from a delving. This would cause several issues including performance problems and unusable NPC recruits

  • Improved various performance issues that caused framerates to be low in many instances caused by duplicate citizen dwarves

  • Improved issues that caused loading walls between areas to persist for long periods of time

  • Fixed an issue where using a mapstone to fast travel would sometimes cause long loading times

  • Fixed a PS5 issue where Gulrun’s textures wouldn’t properly load, causing the beast to appear white, and devoid of color

Note: In order to improve the performance drops seen in the last release, we made a difficult decision to roll back some of the improvements to NPC pathing. This means players will again see some previously fixed issues with NPC’s choice of path or falling through floors. We believe these will still be more rare than before but the trade off was the right decision.

Dedicated Server users, please remember to always restart your server after a patch! Thank you to everyone who submitted tickets, logs and saves as well as answered the team's Qs about your experiences with the above issues.
