The Locked Room changes
When I released the game page for The Looked Room on Steam, it was like opening a door to a new world. Even before the game itself was released, I felt like all those months of development and the ideas I put into it were starting to live their own life. This isn’t just a page, it’s the first time players touch what I’ve created, and it’s exciting.
The Looked Room is a psychological horror game with elements of detective and thriller, but with a unique investigation mechanic. I tried to make every step of the player important, so that they wouldn’t just follow clues, but really try to solve the mystery. From the very beginning, I wanted players to feel how isolation, uncertainty, and fear gradually erase the boundaries between reality and illusion.
When the game page appeared, I noticed how people started to take an interest in the project, leave reviews, and share their expectations. This was the first moment when I felt that The Looked Room stopped being just my project. It now belongs to everyone who is waiting for its release.
Right now, all the attention is focused on the game living up to expectations, but I'm ready to hear the first reactions. And honestly, that moment when everything is moving into the future, and you don't yet know what will happen next, is the adrenaline rush I was looking for.
Devs, what was your experience like?
