We've just updated the Beta with a new update, which should be with all of you now! This update adds a whole load of changes as we continue our work on this patch! Your feedback so far has been massively important, and we want to thank you all for it!

So, without further ado, here are the rather chunky patch notes:

Corruption & Survival

  • Added a new setting to disable or tune survival and corruption features for a more relaxed experience.

  • Corruption zones are now discovered based on proximity rather than requiring you to step directly on corrupted ground.

  • Corrupted ground now prevents your horse from galloping, adding to the challenge of corrupted zones.

  • Improved the UI of corrupted rifts cleansing by offering resources.

  • Rebalanced Cleansing Cost

  • Fixed food not being usable on Naraa when playing with a gamepad.

  • Reduced the amount of corrupted crafting ingredients gained from cleansing rifts (from 3 to 1).

  • Reduced Naraa's food drain rate and increased water drain rate.

  • Significantly reduced the cost of the Nomad Camping Kit.

Horses & Breeding

  • Horse Merchants now sell randomized horses instead of predefined ones.

  • Horse quality at merchants scales with your Prestige Level — non-Mongolian breeds only appear from Prestige Level 6 onwards.

  • Wild and merchant horses now share the same coat color generation. Certain genes are rarer, and most horses will naturally tend towards brown tones.

  • Increased the balance skill gain from riding down slopes.

  • Fixed an issue where tamed wild horses could have all their stats set to zero.

  • Fixed horse merchant previews showing a default icon instead of the actual horse.

  • Slightly rebalanced the Starter Horse.

  • Updated the saddle size on the Breton tack set.

Merchants & Economy

  • Merchants now sell fewer items at lower Prestige Levels and offer a smaller, more thematically focused selection based on their class.

  • Merchants now sell food and some of the new items where appropriate.

  • Prices have been rebalanced across the board to better reflect crafting inputs.

  • Rabbits now always drop meat; bears and wolves are now less likely to drop hide.

  • Fixed merchants only selling 1 Milk at a time.

Missions, NPCs & Stability

  • Fixed being able to accept the same supply mission from an NPC multiple times in a row.

  • Fixed quests not being trackable or abandonable from the map view.

  • Fixed a crash that could occur when switching horses.

Visuals & Performance

  • Fixed objects and terrain elements floating in the air in certain locations.

  • Performance improvements for lower-spec hardware.

Known Issue

  • If you start a game with the corruption feature turned off, and then turn it on, waystations will not become corrupted.
