addedThe DirectX9 version is now considered officially out of beta! Note to existing players: You may need to open the DX9 configuration before running the game if you don't go back to DX8 mode! I'm officially ending the DirectX9 beta as I feel that there are few enough bugs left to make it the default version of the game. With this change, you'll find that the game now launches as DirectX9 normally, but the DirectX8 version and its Configuration Tool still remain as an accessible option from the Steam Library. Turbo Mode is also considered much less buggy than it was at release and you should no longer be able to break the universe using it. Sorry, universe-breaking fans! What's more, all of these changes are now available on GOG Galaxy as well, and the version of the game available on both services is identical, even able to unlock GOG and Steam achievements at the same time if you own the game on both services and have them both open. These patches will be coming to GOG for non-Galaxy users and to our DRM-free players very soon, too! Thanks for your patience, guys!
