Regarding Slow Loading and Choppiness in Some Scenes

If the game loads unusually slowly or if some scenes are choppy, the culprit may be the shader cache* generated by the GPU driver. Clearing the cache may resolve this issue. If not, try disabling the shader cache.

If you cannot see the contents of the ProgramData folder, check View -> Hidden Files in the Explorer menu.

■DirectX Shader Cache In addition to deleting the GPU shader cache above, please also try deleting the DirectX shader cache. Right-click [Local Disk (C:)] in Explorer and select [Properties]. Click [Disk Cleanup (D)] in the [General] tab of the Properties dialog. If [DirectX Shader Cache] is not [0 bytes] on the right side, uncheck the other boxes, check [DirectX Shader Cache] only, and click [OK]. Click [Delete Files] when the Are you sure you want to delete these files? confirmation dialog appears.

If you are using Discord at the same time, the following settings may be affected. Click the gear icon at the bottom of the screen and go to User Preferences and try the following: ・Click on [Audio/Video] and turn off [H.264 Hardware Acceleration] in the settings section. ・Click [Overlay] and turn off [Enable Overlay in Game] in the settings section.

The effectiveness of the shader cache depends on your PC configuration, but if you have a high performance CPU and plenty of memory, disabling it may improve performance. Also, even on the same PC, the status of the shader cache changes depending on the history of the games you have played, so the occurrence of problems may vary depending on the games you play.
