changedPlease join our official Kintsugiyama server on Discord to learn more about how to play, report bugs, share feedback, find status updates, and get tech help if needed. This is the only place we'll be providing this kind of support, so even though it's not a requirement to play, we strongly recommend it.
changedAS A REMINDER: This playest will remain extremely limited (hundreds of players vs. thousands), which means many of the people who signed up will not be invited. We're looking forward to hosting a much larger beta sometime over the summer, though, so there will still be another opportunity to play before we release into Early Access later this year.

EDIT (March 30, 2026): The alpha has ended.

Thank you to everyone who played, watched, or showed up in Discord. We can't wait to do it again.

We're officially in Day 2 of The Legend of California Alpha.

Our servers have been running smoothly and holding strong for over 24 hours. Thanks to everyone who helped us get through this initial phase of testing. For the next phase, we'll be sending out more playtest invites in order to increase our server populations.

If you signed up via Steam Playtest and are selected:

  • You'll receive a Steam notification (as well as an email from Steam)

  • The game client will be automatically added to your Steam Library

  • From there, you can download and install the game to begin playing

Please join our official Kintsugiyama server on Discord to learn more about how to play, report bugs, share feedback, find status updates, and get tech help if needed. This is the only place we'll be providing this kind of support, so even though it's not a requirement to play, we strongly recommend it.

There's no NDA for this playtest, so feel to share your experiences (stream, post videos, etc).

The alpha ends on March 30 at 10am PT.

AS A REMINDER: This playest will remain extremely limited (hundreds of players vs. thousands), which means many of the people who signed up will not be invited. We're looking forward to hosting a much larger beta sometime over the summer, though, so there will still be another opportunity to play before we release into Early Access later this year.

Thanks so much for you support!
