The Last Winter Knight changes
I know it's been a while since the last update; I've still been hard at work on Winter Knight... in fact I've been a little too buried in my work to pull myself away from development to talk about it!
I finally managed to do just that though, so here's an overdue update:
Release Date - May 11th
Let me get the biggest news out of the way: Steam has approved the game's preliminary build! If all goes well, the game will release on May 11th. Steam post image
I'm working on finishing the game's final stages now, which means it's on track for release.*
*Assuming nothing terrible happens to me in the next few weeks, which shouldn't, but since I am the sole person responsible for the game's existence I feel I have to put this disclaimer haha.
The game will have three full chapters, multiple endings, tons of original art and music, and around 90k words, which is significantly more than my earlier estimates. Expect at least six hours or more of content, if reading at a moderate pace.
An updated demo will be added at or before release. Please note that saves from the current demo will not be compatible with the final game.
The soundtrack will also be available on Steam.
Previews and Sneak Peeks
This game is much heftier than my other visual novels, because it's not just a narrative to delve into it and make choices in -- it's part point-and-click game, with plenty of rooms to explore. There is so much art in this game, from the environments to characters to cutscenes...
Here are some previews of what you might see as you play...
So until May 11th, as always, take care!
