  • Gameplay
addedWe’re planning an update for The Last Salvage Squad later this year that will primarily focus on adding two new game modes.
addedAddition of New Game Modes
addedAs post-game content, in addition to the “Story Mission Mode”—where you can play the currently available missions (including Arranged EX Missions)—we’ll be adding two new modes: “Free Play Mode” and “Arcade Mode.” Both of these new modes will omit the main story cutscenes, weapon restrictions based on missions, and the weapon collection phase at the start of missions, allowing you to enjoy shooting and action in a simpler, more streamlined way.
changedIn “Free Play Mode,” you can bring any weapon of your choice to all missions and deploy with a freely configurable set of auxiliary equipment, free from cost restrictions. You can freely configure your setup to include weapons that were only usable in certain scenes in the main story, as well as characters and NPCs that were previously only controllable in specific missions.

Hello. It’s been over a month since The Last Salvage Squad was released. I imagine many of you who are playing have already reached the ending. I’d be thrilled if you’ve enjoyed the game!

We’re planning an update for The Last Salvage Squad later this year that will primarily focus on adding two new game modes.

Upcoming Update:

  • Addition of New Game Modes

As post-game content, in addition to the “Story Mission Mode”—where you can play the currently available missions (including Arranged EX Missions)—we’ll be adding two new modes: “Free Play Mode” and “Arcade Mode.” Both of these new modes will omit the main story cutscenes, weapon restrictions based on missions, and the weapon collection phase at the start of missions, allowing you to enjoy shooting and action in a simpler, more streamlined way.

In “Free Play Mode,” you can bring any weapon of your choice to all missions and deploy with a freely configurable set of auxiliary equipment, free from cost restrictions. You can freely configure your setup to include weapons that were only usable in certain scenes in the main story, as well as characters and NPCs that were previously only controllable in specific missions.

Unlike the main game, where you could freely select cleared missions to farm resources, “Arcade Mode” follows a “start over from the beginning if you’re wiped out” system, requiring you to tackle missions consecutively.

Similar to Free Play Mode, you can bring any weapons and equipment into all missions without restrictions, but a different cost system is used compared to the main game.

While the main game had a limit on the total cost of equipable items, Arcade Mode has no such restriction. However, a “Deployment Cost” is incurred based on the equipped items and weapons you bring when deploying. Although you can obtain a much larger amount of Resource Chips than in the main game mode, aim to clear missions by strategically timing the deployment of your forces.

In addition to the new game mode, the following elements are also scheduled to be added:

・New weapons available in Free Mode and Arcade Mode

・New missions to tackle in Free Mode and Arcade Mode

・Additional difficulty levels

・Additional bonus content

We will provide further details on each of these additions as the update date approaches.

Thank you for your continued support!
