Detailed Changelog

Player

  • Melee attacks can now be cancelled with Jump, Spell, or Gun actions, allowing players to avoid hits better and chain attacks for combo.

  • Guns and Spells actions can now be cancelled with Roll, Dodge, or Jump.

  • Ground Roll and Air Dash no longer share a cooldown.

  • You can now roll and dodge during an air attack performed close to the ground.

  • Combos started in air can now be continued on ground.

  • Beast Mode now has a significantly increased duration and heals Eryk when it concludes.

  • Parry now heals a moderate amount more and has a slightly reduced cost.

  • Heavy Attack charges slightly faster and has a consistent charged attack effect across all weapons.

  • Eryk gains moderate damage reduction while charging Heavy Attacks and when Stigma of Protection is active.

  • Slightly increased Power gain multiplier from dealing damage.

  • Added and improved camera shake for all spells and guns.

  • Added camera shake and controller vibration to all bombs and throwable object explosions.

  • Added camera shake to all execution animations.

  • Executions now heal Eryk for a tremendous amount and grant some bullets.

  • The chance to trigger an execution has been slightly increased.

  • Slightly increased status effects charge decay rate.

  • Significantly reduced active duration of all status effects.

Weapons

  • Skull CleaverSkill direct damage significantly increased.
  • BlunderbladeDrastically reduced skill mana cost.
  • Firestriker BladeProjectile now spawns closer to Eryk and has slightly increased damage; moderately reduced mana cost.
  • Illygarth Boreal BladeProjectile now spawns closer to Eryk and has slightly increased damage; moderately reduced mana cost.
  • The Devourer of the BetrayedSkill direct damage significantly increased; added one more explosion and greatly increased their damage.
  • Stormchaser MacewhipSlightly increased skill base damage.
  • Ethereal Great BladeSkill damage significantly increased.

Guns

  • Added usage descriptions to all gun tooltips.

  • Slightly increased bullets damage hitbox size.

  • Nightbane PistolSlightly increased damage.
  • Federal Admiral’s CannonModerately increased damage.
  • Leena’s BowSlightly Reduced damage; increased ammo consumption rate.
  • Hexbarrel RepeaterIncreased ammo consumption rate.
  • Doppietta: Now deals bonus damage to large enemies and even more damage to giant enemies.

  • Barsov ElectrocutionSlightly reduced direct damage but significantly increased Electrocuted buildup; increased late game scaling; reduced mana cost; increased vertical damage collider.
  • Infant’s BlessingModerately increased damage and reduced charge time.
  • Omniscient Eye ShieldDuration moderately reduced; damage moderately increased.
  • Spectre’s LamentSlightly increased starting explosion damage; reduced hand damage and recovery time.
  • Curse of the BurnedFinal explosion damage massively increased; individual orb damage slightly reduced.
  • Corrupted StarModerately increased damage.
  • Moonshade TearSlightly reduced damage.

World & Systems

New Items & Resources

  • Nightshade KeyA new consumable that teleports you to your last checkpoint, a temporary checkpoint, or the Manor.
  • Duplici Bullets: Restores 6 ammo upon use.

  • Blood PastillesA new consumable that removes the Bleeding status effect.
  • Pickable items now appear in front of enemy sprites for better visibility.

  • Increased level scaling for all bombs and slightly reducing their instinct scaling.

Tutorials & Guidance

  • Added four new tutorials covering Healing, Dropping from Platforms, Temporary Checkpoints, and Point of No Return.
