The Last City: Update 0.1 – The Dawn of Technology!
Survivors,
The first major milestone in the development of The Last City is here. Today’s update introduces the foundation of our progression system: The Tech Tree. From now on, your path to dominance isn't just about raw resources—it’s about scientific advancement and strategic choices.
🔬 New Feature: Technology Points & Research
Technology Points, a new resource earned through gameplay that allows you to shape the future of your settlement. Use them wisely to unlock the following:
The First 4 Technologies (Phase 1)
Scientific Foundations: Enables the construction of the Archives of Knowledge building.
Fortification: Unlocks City Walls to protect your citizens and repel enemy raids more effectively.
Armament Basics: Grants access to Basic Weaponry, unlock infantry unit.
Agrarian Resilience: Optimizes your fields for Stable Farm Production, ensuring more reliable food yields throughout the changing seasons.
🛠 Bug Fixes & Improvements
Fixed a critical issue with the save/load.
Fixed various minor issues.
What’s Next? More Technologies: Expanding the tech tree with specialized research paths.
New Buildings: Additional structures to further diversify your city’s economy and defense.
Survivor Groups: I’m planning to introduce independent survivor groups scattered across the world. You will have to decide how to interact with them—whether through diplomacy, trade, or confrontation.
