The Isle of Cats changes
Today’s patch addresses a number of issues reported by the community, along with a variety of general improvements.
Community Reported
Corrected several instances of mistranslation in Spanish.
Updated several prompts for clarity, including Catnip and Catcall (and all similar effects) as well as prompting around discarding Lesson cards.
Resolved a number of issues with the add friend flow.
Gameplay
Fixed several bugs where challenge and Rescue rules modifiers were not functioning as intended.
Re-worded portions of the Rescue scoring screen for greater clarity.
Corrected several softlocks and game crashes, including several which occurred in Rescues with certain modifiers.
UX/UI
Adjusted highlight positioning, shape and size throughout the game, including an issue where rare treasure highlights could become obtrusive.
Resolved overlapping textures, objects and text.
Corrected some visual issues with the auto-camera.
Corrected numbering of tiles on the beach.
Moved opponents’ boats closer to player’s, enabling better visibility when zoomed fully out. Opponent boats are still off-screen when zoomed far enough in.
Gamepad
Fixed an issue where certain Anytime cards couldn’t be played during Jump In windows while using a gamepad.
Improved gamepad functionality on certain prompts, including the friends list and chat.
You can now correctly use the bug report modal with gamepad (though we hope you don’t need to!).
Hotkeys to open certain prompts now work correctly while you have the chat window open.
Mobile
Added UI for precise tile adjustments to account for difficulty with manually dragging.
Adjusted mobile cat tile tray for ease of use with certain cards.
Fixed an issue where the front end menu could fail to load.
Resolved several minor UI issues such as incorrect fonts and overlapping icons.
Fixed an issue where a blown-up card could reappear after dismissing it.
The leaderboards should now properly display usernames.
Treasure tiles should no longer overlap no matter what order they’re drawn in.
Screen size now properly adjusts when folding a foldable device.
AI
Fixed a case where the AI would play slowly.
Resolved an AI crash which could occur when the Extended Family and Whale modifiers were enabled in Rescue.
Solo games will now properly show your sister’s score when skipping the scoring count-up animation.
Your sister has been caught cheating and no longer gains points from Public Lessons in Solo mode.
The easy AI will now go a little lighter on drafting Lesson cards.
The AI now overall makes more natural decisions about drafting Lesson and Rescue cards.
Front-End
Added confirmation and clarification of text for reporting other players.
Corrected issue of miscounted Lessons in Player History.
Rescue page now reloads when Rescue timer hits zero.
Updated Treasure Trove Challenge text for clarity.
Corrected spots where non-English text could overflow its borders at certain resolutions.
You should now be able to change your avatar and color when joining a match even if you’re the last player to join and the game auto-starts.
