The year is 1533. Tasked by the Holy Office, the Inquisitor Mordimer Madderdin arrives in Koenigstein, a city bursting with sin, to investigate an alleged vampire hiding there.
As he seeks information about the bloodsucker, Mordimer becomes entangled in a brutal power struggle between two authorities. As the walls are closing in, Mordimer seeks to solve the mysteries surrounding the strange events in Koenigstein. However, the city government reveals no details and only advises the Inquisitor to not trust anyone…
But Mordimer remains determined to track down the vampire and mete out punishment to those he sentences as guilty. With the Lord and a companion on his side, he is not alone…
