Release delay and new demo

The title says it all. We have two pieces of news: we have to delay the game release, but in the meantime, we will release a new demo of The Hungry Fly.

Why this delay? We realized we could not meet the 2023 deadline and get the quality we want. We prefer to delay the release instead of cutting too much content. Levels are very different from each other, so it takes a lot of time to develop, more than we thought. We underestimated the challenges this development takes. We think waiting is worth it.

We don’t want to promise a release date for now. Obviously, we already have some ideas, but we’ll wait before announcing any date so we are sure we can keep our promise this time.

I hope you will understand that this decision has been made for the game. We are working hard. After 2 years of development, we are too passionate to see the game be cut or released unpolished.

The demo The good news is that we will release a new demo! The content is completely different from the first demo. It will also feature some improvements based on your feedback and all the streaming we’ve watched (a lot). This demo is closer to what the final game is.
