The Forgotten Castle changes
Hi everyone,
This week I could work on a few things. First of all I implemented a CRT filter for those players who prefer a more retro experience.
I also worked on the UI and the menu. The diary system of the game is now implemented and working. When things important to the story of the game happen they will be written in the diary of the main character, all from his perspective. I also deleted the afe icon with the button in the low left corner. There will be different abilities and I don't want to fill the screen with the buttons for each of the abilities, So I decided to clean the UI and give it a more sober look.
Another thing that I did is to rework the shadows and illumination of the game, I wasn't happy with how some lightning effects where showed in screen so I clewaned them.
Finally, I added sound for the enemies. I don't know why they didn't have any sound in first place (sometimes I leave some work for the future me and then I forget about it) but this problem is solved now and all the enemies have sounds that match their animations and movements.
All the changes and progress that I explain here can be experienced in the third version of the demo that I released the past week.
