Demo 0.2 Update!

Thanks to everyone who has played the Demo so far, I hope you've enjoyed it! Since releasing the Demo I've been working on this update to address some of the issues with the previous version of the game.

Since releasing the Demo I've been working on this update to address some of the issues with the previous version of the game.

This update doesn't have any direct gameplay tweaks or changes, the currently gameplay and scaling have remained untouched for this particular update to the demo.

Patch Notes

Player Visual Update

  • Gave the main character a new sprite. (The previous one was very confusing to look at.)

Skill Tree Update

  • Improved visual separation between the different types of buttons.

  • Changed the colour when a button is Maxed out to a blueish colour instead of yellow.

  • Added Particles to the Skill Tree Buttons.

  • Created more visual separation between the buttons, if a button is a big one time upgrade it has its own unique shape and particles to help highlight it.

General Changes

  • Added an info section to pause menu allowing you to revisit info pop ups.

  • Made it so the pop ups are "Hold to close" instead of "Press to close" to prevent accidental closing.

  • Added a small animation after cutting down a Heart Tree.

  • You can now click the visual tick box in the settings menu.

  • Fixed a bug where the Skill Tree would keep scrolling if you exited the menu while still holding right click. (Reported by PaperaAstrale)

  • Changed how the "<- Current" is visualised to highlight the text with a colour and an underline instead of the pointer. (Reported by PaperaAstrale)

  • If you're not using controller, buttons will not auto select when entering menu's for the first time. (Reported by PaperaAstrale)

  • Fixed a bunch of visual glitches.

  • Added Icons next to all the major buttons.

What's next?

There will be another update coming soon for the demo aiming to be finished by next Friday. (12/06/2026)

The main focus being sorting out the current audio as well as adding more sounds to the game.

  • Rebalancing the Audio. (Currently the normal sounds are way too quiet.)

  • Adding more sound effects.

  • Adding more music. (Sorry about there only being 1 song at the moment.)
