In this newly released video, Schmiedecker highlights the game’s unparalleled attention to detail in its 2D art style. Drawing inspiration from animated films and Franco-Belgian comics, the development team invests significant time and effort into creating each biome, with completion taking up to a year for a single environment.
Players will embark on a journey as the unconventional protagonist, Goldman—an elderly man wielding a cane. Inspired by classic fables, Goldman outsmarts his foes with wit and by using his unique cane abilities rather than relying on brute strength. The game promises a mesmerizing blend of challenging platforming sequences and rich exploration, inviting players to experience a world steeped in imagination and artistry.
The Eternal Life of Goldman is being developed by Weappy Studio and published by THQ Nordic and will be available for PS5™, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo® Switch, and PC.
